Selling a car...
It's an original, low mile CA rust free example. Feel free to PM with you contact info if you're interested in talking about the car.

1986 BMW e28 535i
Bronzit Beige/Black leather interior
Rust free California car since new (N. CA Bay Area)
142K documented miles
Non LSD
Vin: WBADC8407G0667768
Production date: 09/1985
Clean Title/Carfax report in hand
Original manuals/2 keys
Working A/C
3 past long term owners
Service / maintenance records and dealer stamps on owners manual

Exterior
Rust free
Very straight body showing only 4 dings that could be removed with paintless dent repair. 3 on the driver's side, one (really hard to find) on the passenger side, and a small nick on the drivers rear door impact molding near one of the dings.
All original glass
Hood/roof/trunk lid show signs of clear coat failure. Sides are pretty nice.
All chrome is in really good condition considering the age/F/R windshield chrome trim showing its age
Drivers door lock will not lock/unlock the car but it will from passenger door or the trunk

Interior
Clean Black leather interior
Carpet is in excellent condition, floor mats are original and look very good. A couple have deteriorating foam on the underside on some.
Front power seats work in all positions EXCEPT the headrests and are in really good condition only showing light wear in the drivers/passenger bolsters and really only light signs of use.
Rear seats are also in very good condition, with small stitch separations on the top seat backrest. About 1.5” on each.
All the seat leather is still soft.
Door panels/arm rests in very good condition.
All door edge seals are intact and the seals still have the “mouse fur”, some are fully intact, but there is slight separation on some. All would glue back and look good.
Dash has some cracks, mostly above the cluster in the center, a couple more near the top dash vent that aren’t terribly offensive.
Headliner is in really good condition, still soft and not showing signs of drying out. It is showing the fading in the rear inside C pillars.
Console area/shifter surround is in very good condition
Sunroof works correctly opening/closing and tilt up-down with only the switch.
Check panel (overhead) was glitching on the brake lights but they still work correctly. It comes and goes.

Electronics
A/C blows cold, it gives 40* while moving, even around town. At a long stop it gives 43*
Heater works
Seat work in all directions/movements except for the headrests.
Radio - works and has a code
Antenna works but has 1 stuck mast section, I’ll try to get to that soon.
All windows work and movement is good and even both up and down.
Sunroof opens/tilts and closes with the switch.
Instrument cluster *#&$(*^$#*&^ Just started to give the service lights and won’t reset. Prior to yesterday it was fine. Speedo/Tach and all other indicators work.
Temp gauge started to glitch but a light tap on the dash set it right.
OBC stays in the EU setting, won’t give imperial readings, this again was fine a couple of days ago.

Engine/drivetrain/exhaust
142K documented original miles on a working cluster
New plugs/cap/rotor
New Ansa rear muffler just installed. Still has a slight exhaust leak ahead of the rear muffler, dumb ass tec didn’t bother to let me know when the car was in the air…
Engine runs good, runs cool and idles well. It does have a slightly rough idle on a cold start but only for a few seconds, evens out quickly and maintains a good M30 idle.
Transmission rebuilt (receipt in hand for a $2600.00 repair)) less than 5K miles ago, shifts well and shift control works well.

Suspension/Tires
15” BMY style 2 wheels with caps and good tread on tires
Tires are date coded 1/17 and are Yokohama Avid 215/60/15, all have excellent tread.
Bilstein B4 comfort shocks installed less than 5K miles ago
Car drives/stops straight
Front lower control arms showing slight wear but still work well, could also use a drag link and a pitman arm.
Needs new dogbones
Needs door latch buffers, I ordered them (OEM) but they are apparently NLA now.

Documents;
Original manuals, dealer stamps and service records. As an aside, it was serviced at GAS in Berkeley for quite a while with multiple reciepts.
Besides regular service/maintenance notable recent work with receipts and all within 6K miles unless milage is noted as different;
Rebuilt transmission
Shocks
Muffler
OEM driveshaft/center bearing 135K miles
OEM radiator/water pump 129K miles
Coolant temp sensor
Blower fan
Brake accumulator/pressure switches
Steering box repair 115K miles
Oil pan gasket/upper/lower timing cover gaskets 129K miles

I’d like to see $8,000 for the car

The idea of leather mouse pad is crazy. It would definitely be a good suggestion.
