Valve Cover Nuts

Post by D28 »

Does anyone know the specs for the valve cover nuts on the m21? are they the same as the m50/m52? The recessed studs are intact but I am missing all four nuts thank to the previous owner. I have not been able to find the specs anywhere.

From what RealOEM indicates, it seems they are unique to the M21:

They appear to be fairly readily available, however:

Why do you need special nuts for the valve cover?

Thanks shriekback! I hadn't thought of checking realOEM. Mustve slipped my mind. And yes the valve cover has recessed studs so the nuts have a long threaded section that extends down into the valve gallery. Im sure there is a name for this type of fastener but I have no idea what it is.
