MyE28.M5 NEW pics
Heavy overcast day, plus it was hard to find a place suitable to shoot with the world still looking like winter.

What I know now
Chris, If I only new........I could have saved myself sooooo much pain. I encourage everyone who loves these old sedans to save your pennies and step up to the M car. They are so fun.wkohler wrote:Oh wow. Those Alpinas.
That car looks great, Ed.

You're making me feel bad bringing up your experience. It sounds awfully reminiscent of my red E28 experience.edlocke wrote:Chris, If I only new........I could have saved myself sooooo much pain. Honestly, as far as Euro converting this car, I couldn't do it, myself. It's not my car, so I don't want to keep you from doing it, but it looks perfect as-is.

Turbo
I still have it and its ready to drop into something. I spent the time and money to go thru the motor and have the turbo checked out....its waiting for a good home. I have a lead on a Black 535i 5 speed car with 72,000 original miles near me...if I get that....well, lets say my turbo engine might have a classy rust free home!Nebraska_e28 wrote:Nice ride. Since you scrapped the m30 turbo project, do we see an s38 turbo in your future?
Ps> I'll have a lot of nice parts for sale at the VV. All the good stuff that came off my red car.
Alpina emblems
I do have the Alpina emblems....just haven't had the time to stick'm on. I'm waiting too!Tucker wrote:Looks perfect on the Alpinas! Welcome to the club
seats redone
I just got the front seats back a couple of weeks ago from a guy by the name of Chuck Bottomsly 336-382-1777. He is located in Greensboro NC. and does a lot of the hotrod and show cars in the area. The drivers side had some fading....the passenger side was near perfect. I was thinking about just doing the drivers seat but I wanted the perfect match and he matched the leather perfectly with the back seat which is a gem.... I can be a bit anal at times when money is involved. He charged me 850.00$ for the two seats. I'm happyjay wrote:Love it! Have the seats been redone or original?
New pics.
Thanks for all the I really love the car...so much fun to drive. I 've been in much faster cars but the sound and feel of these M5's are sweet
