MyE28.M5 NEW pics

Post by edlocke »

Heavy overcast day, plus it was hard to find a place suitable to shoot with the world still looking like winter.

Chris, If I only new........I could have saved myself sooooo much pain. I encourage everyone who loves these old sedans to save your pennies and step up to the M car. They are so fun.

You're making me feel bad bringing up your experience. It sounds awfully reminiscent of my red E28 experience.

Honestly, as far as Euro converting this car, I couldn't do it, myself. It's not my car, so I don't want to keep you from doing it, but it looks perfect as-is.

Looks awesome.

Some Alpina emblems would look perfect on those wheels!

Nice ride. Since you scrapped the m30 turbo project, do we see an s38 turbo in your future?

The M5 looks great! You do, however, need some proper Alpina emblems and lock covers for the covered lug wheels. Talk to Susan at KSK Distributing - she can help you with this stuff and relieve you of some more of your "car restoration fund"!

:alright:

I'm still a little bummed that I won't see you with a turbo car, but that sure is pretty.

Turbo

I still have it and its ready to drop into something. I spent the time and money to go thru the motor and have the turbo checked out....its waiting for a good home. I have a lead on a Black 535i 5 speed car with 72,000 original miles near me...if I get that....well, lets say my turbo engine might have a classy rust free home!

Ps> I'll have a lot of nice parts for sale at the VV. All the good stuff that came off my red car. :bawl:

seats redone

I just got the front seats back a couple of weeks ago from a guy by the name of Chuck Bottomsly 336-382-1777. He is located in Greensboro NC. and does a lot of the hotrod and show cars in the area. The drivers side had some fading....the passenger side was near perfect. I was thinking about just doing the drivers seat but I wanted the perfect match and he matched the leather perfectly with the back seat which is a gem.... I can be a bit anal at times when money is involved. He charged me 850.00$ for the two seats. I'm happy :D
