Not mine, no affiliation, etc...

This was on the E3 email list today, car is located in OH. This E12 needs to go to an enthusiast, it's the ultimate parts hauler.

For more info, contact Tim at
fltrplntman@gmail.com

IIRC, The E12 pickup truck looks a lot like this E3 pickup

1976 BMW 530i pickup truck... Yep That's right.. Edgar.
3 liter that runs great, but is a bit loose. Getrag 265 5speed that is quiet in operation and has no syncro problems, Sport springs that lowered him 2 inches with bilsteins on the back, and unknown up front. Clean straight euro bumpers front and rear with only one small nick in the rear rub strip, black vinyl recaros with a little wear, e12 power bulge hood with a Subaru WRX hood scoop.headers with dual straight pipes and dual tuneable SuperTrapps. Vintage BBS gold basket weaves with newer Sumitomos.
The only caveat.. no drivers floor. So he'll need towed.
I would jump in Edgar and go anywhere. Proved this point last year at East Fest.
If you do the math.. there is over $1500 worth of goodies on him.
$800
So.. if your good with sheet metal and a welder.. you can bring him back to life..
Me.. I ran out of time. City wants them gone, and I've waited too long as it is. I have 30 days.
I offer them here first. Starting next Wednesday they will be hauled to West Springfield , Pa. and auctioned off one a week.

I want that pickup SO bad. Probably the only car whose lack of floorboards would not scare me off. Bad ass

Oh man Todd, you better do something awesome with that car. I'd love to see some updates with it and follow your progress. I've been seeing pictures of that ute for a few years now. I'm glad it's in good hands! Thumbs Up

I am am just going to make it functional/safe and install the twins from Sweeney's old sixer.

I have actully been wanting a parts hauler/yard duty truck forever. This looks to be perfect

I also have a hitch from an e24 that will probably be made to work. Fun to pull a Waverunner or Snowmobile or bikes or whatever.

That particular e12 used to belong to Brett Anderson of Koala Motorsport. The last time I saw it it was sitting near a snow bank outside his shop some years ago.

Last time I saw it was in Austin, TX, a few years back. Don't imagine the pervasive rust has healed itself since then. Popcorn

Yeah, I was kind of wondering the same. Especially in that autocross video Todd! Are you going to patch her up or drive it until the shocks break through the rusty mounts? LOL

I will evaluate it when it arrives and report back. I have been told the shock towers are OK but who knows.

Total budget for this project including the price of the car and delivery is $1500. I have so many used parts that I should only need to buy sheet metal, welding wire and some gaskets. It's just going to be a townie beater truck with twin turbos.

Todd

Agreed! A perfectly harmless, fun as shit, easily justified because it's badass waste of money.
