2002 Project car update and new pics

Post by RoyW »

Well, the new target completion date for my '02 project car is early July (I'm hoping to drive it in my town's 4th of July parade?). Last week Mario fired up the engine and all works as expected. The last 5% of completion is fraught with many small issues that take time to resolve, e.g., fabrication or modification of a part; waiting on a part; fitment issues; etc.... but, it's getting there and the end is in sight :alright:

Major items still to do include: complete the hook-up of the cooling system to the engine; programming of the AlphaN system; loading up the braking system; install the muffler and tailpipe; installing the interior, hang the doors, install the hood; and numerous other lesser items

Here's a few pictures from last week showing the tranny installed, center-section CAT installed, all glass installed, grills and turn signal lights installed, dash installed and gages working, steering wheel installed, rockers installed, electical near completion, and a few other things since my last post.

I'm nearly besides myself with anticipation and wanting to see/drive the finished car... what a rush it will be :)

That is simply overflowing with awesome...puddles of awesome are forming in the shop....Quick, bottle it up, some of us are in need of some of that awesome.

There is something so great about all that new, clean metal all fit in there (even cleaner than Rods car!)

Question for Roy.W
interest to know how you got the black trim around the fenders and front bumper?
Great looking car, looks Beastly with that S14.
would be nice to see some more pics!

Good luck with the rest of your project.

WOW that is completely amazing. Are you planning on showing your car at all. I think you would be very happy with the mass of trophies that car would win.
