|

Ok, I have Seriously slow windows and have finally worked out what the problem is.
I will do a FAQ with heaps of pics and a complete run down on all possiable problems and solutions to fix them.
But in the mean time i need some Window door guide rubber with the Felt on it.
Cause that is what my problem is.
So i looked up the Real OEM site for the part.
Problem is im not sure if they are just listing the Rubber for the upper window only.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?.....67&hg=51&fg=10
Cause i want the Rubber that is in the guides on the inside of the door.
Im not sure, because on my car i think it had broken away from the whole loop?...but on my spare parts car it looked like one whole continuous piece that went right around.
Is there a seperate piece i can buy for internal door guide rubber? |

It's one piece, usually breaks at the top rear corner. Obviously not a loop, but 4 sides.
I replaced mine because of the wind noise (from parts car), but the old one didn't slow down the window, nor did the "new" one speed it up. |

part #2 is correct,
The legs on each side drop down the full length of the window channel on each side. |

I had the opposite experience. My window opening and closing speed increased after replacing the window guides.
FYI part numbers are:
51 32 1 889 787 for the front left window and
51 32 1 889 788 for the front right window.
I purchased mine from www.bavauto.com for $45.95 each. Shipping for both was $13.95. I did not check prices from other sources. |
